Office of the Registrar Mission Statement

The Office of the Registrar supports the academic mission of the University of California by providing the Berkeley campus with accurate, timely, and cost-effective services related to: the enrollment, registration, and graduation of all current Berkeley students; the implementation, enforcement, and monitoring of academic and administrative policies related to the academic record; the creation, maintenance, and dissemination of the academic records for past and current students; the development and dissemination of course-related information; and classroom management.

In meeting its mission, the Office of the Registrar provides leadership, analysis, and assistance in the development of, and modifications to, policies and procedures that will best serve faculty, students, alumni, parents, staff, and members of the general public within the parameters established by law, University policy, technology, and budget. In all that we do, the Office of the Registrar remains committed to providing top quality service based on the principles of fairness, good stewardship, a commitment to excellence, mutual understanding, and respect.
