Campus E-Mail Policy



Every UC Berkeley student is required to have a berkeley.edu e-mail address for official correspondence. Professors, departments, and university administration will be sending important you information about registering for classes, financial aid, class assignments, etc., using this address. When entering or changing an e-mail address, you must use the CalNet online directory services web update form (also available via Bear Facts). To protect your privacy, e-mail addresses will be made available as public directory information only when the release flag is checked.
