Registration & Enrollment - Enrollment Information

About Tele-BEARS

Tele-BEARS is an online system that students use to enroll in classes at Berkeley. It is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to Midnight, and on Saturday and Sunday from Noon to Midnight. Access is on a preassigned appointment basis. (See "Accessing Tele-BEARS" for more information.)

To ensure a fair distribution of classes for all students, enrollment takes place in two phases followed by an adjustment period. In Phase I, students are limited to 10.5 units (undergraduates) or 12.5 units (graduates). In Phase II, undergraduates have a limit of 16 units, while graduates can enroll up to their college or school maximum. Students needing to enroll in more classes can use the Adjustment Period to do so. Please note that waitlisted units are included in the unit totals. (See "Tele-BEARS Enrollment Periods" for more information.)
