Options for Assigning Grades

You have some choices about how to enter grades. You can

• enter grades one by one, online, or
• use an existing Excel spreadsheet (if it's laid out properly), and upload all your class grades at one time, or
• create an Excel spreadsheet through use of the Roster function, input the grades and then upload them, or
• use your grading module in bSpace and export to an Excel spreadsheet.

You can also choose to

• delegate the authority to a GSI to enter grades.

You can also

• save a session without having completed it, to return to it later to edit or submit the grades.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For security reasons, eGrades logs you off automatically after 90 minutes of inactivity. If you are logged off in the middle of assigning grades, grades you have already saved (by clicking SAVE/NEXT PAGE; see the Assign Grades section) will be kept. Grades you have entered but not saved this way will be lost. To continue working with eGrades after 90 minutes, simply log back on.
