Health Plan Offers New Benefits
The Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) offers new benefits for 2008-09, including a vision plan. Now is the time to climb on board! For more information, see the SHIP web site at www.uhs.berkeley.edu/ShouldIWaive. If you wish to waive enrollment in SHIP, the online waiver application is available starting April 1. If you submit your waiver by the deadline of July 15, the SHIP fee will not appear on your E-Bill and your financial aid package (if applicable) will be adjusted appropriately. If you submit a waiver after the deadline, you will be assessed a $50 late waiver service fee. No waivers will be granted after September 15.

Change in Late Registration Fee
Effective Spring 2007, the Late Registration Fee and Late Enrollment Fee have been consolidated into a single Late Registration Fee of $150.00 and will be charged to any student not officially registered* by Friday of the third week of instruction (September 12 for Fall 2008; February 6 for Spring 2009).

*To be officially registered, a student must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • Enrollment in at least one course
  • At least 20% of assessed registration fees paid
  • No active registration blocks

Campus E-Mail Policy
