In response to the unusual and challenging circumstances that our students are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cancel for Non-Payment (CNP) policy will be suspended for the Fall 2022 through the Spring 2024 semesters. The following deadlines and fees still apply to all students.

Spring 2024 CNP key dates
:
January 8, 2024 – Earliest date Financial Aid and Scholarships will begin to disburse
January 9, 2024 – First date emergency loans can be requested (optional)
January 12, 2024 – Official Tuition & Fees due date
January 15, 2024 – Last day to withdraw without obligation to pay some or all of tuition and fees
January 16, 2024 – Instruction begins

Other helpful tips:

  • Pay any past due charges on your student account. Any payment you submit will be applied to these charges first.
  • If you are receiving financial aid or other awards, review your Tasks in CalCentral to make sure your financial aid file is complete and that you have satisfied all eligibility requirements for disbursement.
  • If you are receiving funding from an outside source (i.e., agency, scholarship, sponsor), work closely with them to disburse your funds promptly. If you are paying tuition and fees from personal funds, don’t wait until the last minute.
  • You may pay through a Credit Card through CalCentral (with a 2.85% fee for domestic card and 4.25% fee for international card payments which only covers the cost of the service provider), which is an option that students and parents have told us they wanted.
  • Starting  January 9, 2024, you can apply for an emergency loan to assist you with your fee payment.
  • Clear any holds so that you are officially registered and able to access campus services.
  • Be sure to read your Berkeley email and monitor CalCentral to stay informed of your payments and enrollment status.
